I don’t even have any issues with this laundry list of GamerGate-style criticisms. BFV won’t be selling map packs anymore, so having a wide variety of wacky cosmetics is the trade-off we can expect. I have no issues with Braveheart-esque dudes in kilts, or people running around with katanas. To be clear, I have zero issues with DICE introducing female soldiers, amputee soldiers, or any combination thereof. Second, though… ugh, WW2? Why? What’s the point? If you don’t believe me, here is 21 minutes worth of Battlefield trailers. And what the hell was with that “fire twice, then immediately reload” crap? Some people have complained about the Michael Bay-ness of the whole thing, but Battlefield has always had that element. There’s a part halfway through when you see a squad of soldiers running away, and I was trying to figure out if they were on my (the viewer’s) team or not. Not in the “they got a British female amputee in my authentic WW2 sim!!1!” way, but in the very standard “this is an incoherent mishmash of themes” way.
If all that doesn't work, contact ea support and I'm sure they can help out by unlocking the Origin version of the shortcut for you.I am facepalming over here a little bit, but not necessarily for the reasons you might expect.įirst, that trailer is just bad. Hop on a server from the Steam version and see if it's unlocked, if not then login into Battlelog again and join a server from there. Go to the dlc tab of bf4 in your Steam library and make sure the shortcut is enabled.
Everything's connected to Origin, so getting a shortcut for the Steam version should work for the Origin version as well. I have the Origin version of bf4 as well and have been able to take advantage of the free shortcuts they've been giving out the past couple of months since I have it on Steam too. If you have something else on your mind would be glad to hear it. I basically transferred all my collection of ea games to steam by purchasing them again on sales to forget about it. Idk actually, this whole origin thing is just messed up. Maybe it's because I used to play on origin and then bought a steam version for convenience and I have this bundle only on steam, but bf profile is shared.
